Knick-Knacky

I went into a very brief rasta/hippie phase this summer. I bought a beautiful piece of textile with a scene of African animal silhouettes running across a field in this green, orange and yellow pattern and it blew my mind away. I'm not quite sure what the real purpose of this textile was but I put it up on my wall as a giant piece of art and even turned it into a wrap for a beach party once. My room soon followed this theme. I even started collecting incense at one point!

So when I visited Shimokitazawa, I was in hippie-heaven when I found this department store just full of this kind of style.

I couldn't go through every thing and every store. There was just sooooo much to see!

What I love about this department store is that somethings are new and somethings are second hand. You never really knew what was what. But one thing is for sure, everything there was unique in its own way.

This bag is so damn cheeky!

I am totally out of the hippie phase now. Probably because it's Autumn now and I can no longer wear what I had purchased for that very phase. Maybe I'll feel it again next summer. But for now, I'm changing for Autumn.

I used to be embarrassed that I would change styles so often. I thought that it was a sign that one did not know themselves enough to define their style and stick to it. But now that I think about it, I think change is what keeps things exciting! I can't wait to show you the JILL by Jill Stuart shoes I found in Kobe..it's definitely not rasta style!

until next time, tata :3
