OCAD GRAD SHOW

The Grad Show at OCAD is always an adventure. Lots of people, lots of energy and lots of really, really brilliant and weird works by the graduating students. I wish I could've seen all of them...but there were simply too many to go through. Most works were really great but there was one particular work that really stood out just grabbed me by the eyes and shook my brains out!

Pencil crayon on paper drawings by Winnie Truong. The laborious details, the sheer size of these babies1, the feeling of discomfort in their presence, the orgy of colours in the hairs...her pieces showcased not only her technical skills but her attention to the nuances of the human facial expressions.

You should definitely check out more of her work on her website or browse through her blog.

And don't miss out on the insanity that is the OCAD Grad Show. Only from May 6th to the 9th...go go go!
