Jimmy Choo @ H&M

The day had finally arrived and I couldn't sleep a wink. Literally.

I'm not usually a fan of shiny things and studded bling, but there was definitely something special about some of these pieces!

At 7pm, my cousin and I met for dinner at Eggspectation and later headed back to the Mariott on Bay. Our plan was to sleep nearby and wake up early to get in line. I even brought for us a bottle of Moet to celebrate our little adventure!

On our way back to the hotel, we bumped into my friend who was about to line up with his girlfriend at 9pm. They were brave! I thought our 5am plan was brave. Obviously I was wrong. People had lined up as early as 7pm. Oooofcourse.
ooSo after going back to our hotel and taking a little rest, I get a call from my friend informing us that there is about 10 people behind him and 10 people ahead of him. And from past experiences, the lovely people at H&M enforced a rule this year that the first 160 people would receive colour coded wrist bands that would indicate the time that certain wrist banners would go. I was not aware of this until my friend told me. This prompted me and my cousin to throw on our "line up gear" and go....at 11:30pm.

After about seven hours of story telling, cookie munching, hand rubbing and window oggling, we finally received our wristbands!

At some point during the night, the floor plan was revealed and we were able to look inside. I can't lie to you, I wasn't too interested in the clothes. The only piece I shouldn't have neglected was the long, black evening gown with the thigh high slit. It's one of those timeless pieces that simply hang in your closet for admiration because it's a hard piece to wear out. Yeah..one of those! Oh well.

This here was the most important part of the store - the shoes, accessories and handbags section! This part was sectioned off for us wrist-banners to go at our allotted time. 20 wrist-banners at a time, 10 minutes to shop. If you knew what you were getting, 10 minutes is ample time to get what you want. The trouble was trying the shoes on! It didn't help that I was trying on the thigh-high boots. Those took forever to put on! Thank goodness for my friend's call or we couldn't have reached this part of the store. Thanks Lam!

Fast forward 3 dreadfully long hours of waiting, camera crews, fatigue, and anticipation, and you get The Jimmy Choo sale at H&M!

The first group of shoes/bags/accessories shoppers. Lucky ducks!

Did you know H&M employees miss out on this sale? Yep.

So what did I get in the end?

My much anticipated and long awaited thigh high boots. You know when there's a blockbuster movie coming out and you get the media hyping it up and people talk about it, and after you see the movie it ends up being the worst $10 you've spent? Yeah. I thought these boots might've been that case, but it wasn't. I love them more than my Louboutins.

A pretty little sequined jersey in size 4!! I didn't anticipate this piece at all, but when I saw it in the store, it looked absolutely beautiful! I'm still willing to sell it however...starting at $100, anyone? :)

So that was that. I wonder how H&M is going to top this sale next year. My cousin was hoping for Chanel. Doesn't seem like a Lagerfeld thing to do. My fingers are crossed for Lanvin!
ooAnyways, next time you see someone in Toronto rocking the Jimmy Choo thigh-highs, it might just be me!

I hope you enjoyed your weekend as much as I did, tata!
